My computer is an hp Pavilion, operating Microsoft Windows XP media Center Edition 2005.
I would like to view and edit a DVD using virtualdub ... my question is can my system safely do this? Keep in mind I am NOT a very sophisticated computer person. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello Guitar 21 ... I'd like to download virtual dub, so that I can view and edit a dvd, and then, after the edit, burn the edited copy from my computer. Because I'm an unsophisticated user, I hesitate to just download virtual dub. I don't want to cause and problems with my computer that I can't fix. Many thanks for your reply.

Howdy folks...

Hmmm...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but Virtual Dub can't edit DVD's, it can only edit mpeg's and avi's...

You'll have to rip the DVD to a mpeg or an avi then edit it...

But then again maybe I'm being a stupid troll again...
