Hi ... I am curious if someone might know a software that can tell me whether if all my drivers are up to the lastest drivers avilable ... Or if someone can tell how i can tell if i do have the lastest drivers ????

no software out there that will check everything that I know of.


What you have to do is go to the website of each components manufacturer and check your version numbers.


The main ones you want to worry about are video, sound, motherboard(via 4in1 drivers especially) and probably modem if you are on dialup.

If you have a system from a major manf such as compaq or dell you can go to their website, put in your serial number and they will have the updates posted usually.

for windows 98 there was norton oil change ( or was it mcafee ) I have the cd but only used it once but it is supposed to look for updated drivers on the net

Fairly sure that Oil change is no more.

The closest thing to it now is windows update. If a company goes through the whole windows driver certification process the drivers end up there. A lot of companies dont bother though.
