Hello,

I have recently encountered a blue screen every time I shutdown or restart my computer. I am running Win 2000 pro SP2. I have narrowed down the error to a sound card I have recently installed. You may ask, "well what's the problem then?" Well, the driver I have for the sound card is a beta driver, and the support staff at the sound card manufacturer is saying that it couldnt be the card that is causing the problem. Go figure.

My belief is that the problem is that the driver isn't digitally signed. According to Microsoft, it should be. Is there a way to get the blue screen to stop!

HELP!

Thanks,
Elliott

It is an Echo MIA24 sound card. There are no non-beta drivers available. And no generic drivers will work for it. It's made for recording purposes.

Thanks,
Elliott
