Driver for Intel 915G 910GL Graphics for Dell Dimension 4700

Hi all,

Wanted to update the previous thread that the person 'Dell4700' had posted on a Graphics Driver for the Dell Dimension 4700 which uses the Intel Integrated Graphics 915G and/or 910GL Graphics Chip ( Intel 82915 and 82910 Graphics Chipsets).

The cab file that the person posted got me on the right track - but that driver no longer works with Windows 7 SP1 latest updates. It acts as if it will install, but upon reboot, it fails and removes itself.

The driver that I found that does work after many hours of searching is the last driver released directly by Intel for the Chipsets 915G and 910GL - version 14.25.50.4764 - released on 01/17/2007. The driver is technically a Windows XP driver - however this Intel Chipset was not updated any further due to lack of capabilities for Windows Vista nor Windows 7. The driver does however work perfectly and allow you to display full resolution instead of being limited to a max of 1024 x 768 by the 'Standard VGA Graphics Driver'.

I'm only updating this as a favor for a family member ... as the Dell Dimension 4700 is extremely old (almost 12 years at this point) - but hopefully this will help someone in a similar situation that needs the driver.
