Hi, I am having troble downloading files from websites. For example one of my professors has emailed he a file and when i click on it says that the file can not open...and when i did get it to open it was ine like wingdings or something. Any ideas on how to fix this...did i accidentially turn off something that i shouldn't have?
Thanks Katie 101

It may be just a matter of file-type. What types of files are you getting? Is the problem really with downloading, or just viewing the files after you get them?

If you can tell us the file type (the three letter file extension, the bit after the "." at the end of the file) we could advise exactly what you should be trying to open them with.

Your description would suggest that you are not opening them with the program intended to be used.
