I am a learner and I downloaded Internet Explorer 5.5 service pack 2 and internet tools But a box popped up at the end .

It said something about clean sweep I did not know what to do so ignored it and clicked ok.
It said restart computer so i did so. But everytime i start up a box comes up saying installation not complete Finish or re install
I have done both But it still says cannot install Can you help me please?
As now it won't let me install anything from microsoft update site.
Was told to do this to see if in hotmail i would be able to reply as everytime i tried it crashed
help a learner please!

Hi Mary.

The exact text of your error message would help.

It's vital to disable all unneccessarily running programs when downloading and installing any Windows Update.

And that specifically includes your antivirus and Clean Sweep.
Also empty the ENTIRE contents of your Windows\TEmp folder.
