Strange problem, involving a DOS (command) prompt: We run a legacy clipper database on our 2003 web server, with no problems. I just added a new user, setting her up as an administor (using the wizard). If I log on as that user and open a command prompt, I can see the directory and file I want on the server... "dir xxx.dbf" shows the correct file. But, I cannot open that file! The clipper database can't open it, and I can't open it using dbase and a "use" command. If I log back on the same computer as another user, it all works just fine.

Any ideas as to why I can see a file, but can't open it??!!

Sounds like the new user doesn't have access rights to the file. Perhaps she only has read access?
