We recently upgraded our operating systems from Win 95 to XP - we currently use a DOS account managment system. Within that the user can press F3 to bring up quick letters and print them. We can also create custom letters that will be listed under the F3 function. Since upgrading to XP, every time a user presses F3 and prints any letter, custom or standard, the custom letters seem to disappear....HELP!

There is a high probability that DOS applications may not function correctly under XP.

XP does not contain any underlying DOS as Windows 95 did. When running under "DOS" in XP, you are actually running in a DOS emulation program within Windows itself.

The function you describe sounds like one that was specifically written for that application and probably does not use standard DOS calls, so it may not work properly unless running in a real DOS environment.

Thanks! We have been able to figure out ways to speed up the DOS program using XP and made a few other setting changes - can't wait til we get rid of this program.
