Actually what it states is as follows:

The business filed bankruptcy, he didn't. Being brought to the "brink" doesn't mean he did.

It was a business bankruptcy but it wasn't a personal bankruptcy. Donald Trump has never filed bankruptcy. In fact, the casinos filed under Chapter 11, which is the "reorganization" chapter, people can't file under Chapter 11.
