Lately, every time I start up my computer, I have to reset the homepage to my page because it's at one of those 'spyware' search sites or something, and I also have to reset my security system dealing with cookies because it's 'custom'.
I've tried Spybot S&D, and it got out some spyware, but this problem still remained.
This is the only problem though.

If you do think I'm being hacked, can you recommend me a good, free firewall?

axeman61,

Once you have downloaded and run Hijack This as stated above, copy / paste the log in another post in this thread. Then while awaiting help - go here :

http://www.free-firewall.org/

There are several decent freebies - Kerio, Sygate, or Zone Alarm are preferred by most people here. Any will be beneficial to you.

I would also recommend you download this utility (Spywareblaster) here :

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Check the settings as it has the capacity to auto download updates. Once you have it, run and click the necessary options to 'Protect against all' - it will place 'killbits' on your system that prevent many items of malware even installing on your comp.

Also it might be a good idea to get this thread moved to the Security Forum. You might stand a better chance of getting constructive indications on what to remove from your log in that forum.

Simply click the 'Report this' icon at the top of your post and type a request that it be moved. If need be, ask that the thread title be amended to 'Help with Hijack Log' - or something similar.

Good luck.
