Do users feel a diffenence between AMD and P4

Hey,

I've been a long time pentium user and was wondering if there's a difference between the 2. Meaning if the user had no clue what the processor he was using, would he know the difference between brand?

I'm planning to jump ship and go with AMD because of the price and great reviews. I love pentiums reliablity though but there speed can be iffy at times. What does P4 have over AMD XP?

P4 owners convince me to stick with pentium!
