Hello,

I have a windows 2000 Server abc.com (Ex). I have locally machines using the server for DNS. Locally the machines cant get to www.abc.com. What do I need to do to fix this problem. I know its simple.

Do they all have the same 'workgroup' name...I don't know if it would make a difference for DNS serving....just throwing it out there.

The workstations should be using the server's IP address as the DNS server. The server should have a hard-coded (static) IP address, and use the router's IP address for DNS resolution.

The router will then use your ISP's DNS servers for name resolution.
