I want to know how to build a dlna network and use it to stream video from my amazon kindle fire 7 2015 non-HD (the cheap one)

DLNA is not a network; it is a protocol for devices to stream content on a local network. See What is DLNA?

The easiest way to build a local network is to connect device(s) to a router. You don't need a router, but one sure makes the job much easier.

Thanks for the help! I understand what dlna is now! However I'm still not sure how to connect my kindle fire to my television. Any help would be great! Thanks again!

Assuming that you have a wireless router you connect the Kindle Fire to the router via Wi-Fi.

Assuming that you have a Smart TV you connect it to your router via Wi-Fi or ethernet, depending on the TV's capabilities.

If you do not have a Smart TV, but the TV does have an HDMI port, you can get an adapter (example).

Before you make any decisions I suggest that you get more confused (as I get) by reading Wireless Display Standards Explained: AirPlay, Miracast, WiDi, Chromecast, and DLNA.

My experience with this stuff is limited. I have successfully used Miracast to my Samsung Smart TV from an HP PC with Windows 8.1 and almost succeeded with a Dell PC with Windows 8.1. I vaguely remember sorta getting DLNA to work to that TV from a different HP PC with Windows 7.

I don't know what that Kindle Fire has. If it has a mini HDMI port that would really be the easiest and surest if you don't have to have wireless. Next best, I think, would be Miracast if it is supported. Good luck! And keep us informed on your adventure.
