If it's an executable file you should be able to just double click it to install.

If it's a zip file, you will need to use winzip to extract it to a folder, it should have a setup.exe to run

Hi brian,

It's an executable.
I did give it a double click to install.
it went thru what seemed to be the right moves.
I had to agree to everything and anything.
After it had done its business,
I went back to the document that i wanted to look at,
and tried to look at it.

I expected it to be visible, but it asked me which prog
to use for it.
And it showed me the list of progs to choose from.

I thought maybe first time you have to tell it,
then afterwards it will go to it.

But its not there for me to choose.
So how do i choose it?

I found an entry called:
DjVuWebBrowserPlugin_EN.exe
its 1.8 MB what is it likely to do?

Is it likely that it will remove my Explorer?
and put something else there?
I thought it was just a doc reader,
Its file version 3.5.0.14
from LizardTech

I dont know what 'file open' is but
i can go to the exe and give it a double click.
Sorry to take so long, my brain seems to have
congealed i think the monitor is sucking it out
thru my eyes.

OK
i opened IE
I found 'file ... open'
typed in the name of the file
1920-38INDEX.djvu

and i got a message:
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet
site http://1920-38index.djvu/.
The site was not found. Make sure the address is
correct, and try again.

Its not a site.
Its a file.
What am i doing wrong?

i just noticed you said browse to it,
shall i try again using browse?

I went back to it, to try to browse to it instead,
I used the browse and it wants the whole address not
just the file name apparently.
So thats what it got.
I thought it was going to open,
instead it asked me which prog to use,
and showed me a list. Which didnt include DjVu.
So i chose Internet Explorer.
Still no go.

How am i supposed to use this?

im not doing it right am i?
