Hey,

I've been having problems lately with basically all sound, it's as if they are distorted and sound like chipmunk like its not fast forwarded but everything has a very high tone. All sound has become really high including the voices of people on teamspeak and ventrillo it also happens in all files with sound i play in windows media player and other players such as divx and winamp. This problem hasnt occurred before and i havent installed any new drivers or sound cards. The sound is also distorted in games and such.

I had a similar problem with that sound, i went and had the drivers deleted and reinstalled and that fixed it, but i dont know what screen i used anymore, sorry i am not much help unless you know how to find your drivers..

i have the same problems.
it happens w/ all sound.
even on my local cd drive, also w/ winamp.
i have the same sound card.
my copy of win media player (ver 9) is not registered and i am nervous about upgrading.
i've also asked at computerhelptech.com and techsupprtforims.com.
i can't uninstall and install w/o the disk so i'm stuck there, ithink.
