Discord would not update

I had Discord not update and ended up having to reinstall it. Minor frustration, anyway I can avoid think from happening again? I am thinking Windows messed up something when it updated.

Hi

Are you saying that you don't want Discord to update, as there is a conflict with Windows? Also, is it the latest version of Discord?

Thanks

Sorry for the mix up, it would not update I kept getting update failed.
Ah, I see. Have you tried running it as Administrator? Just right click on the program (or shortcut) and select Run as Administrator.

If its already running, as mostly it runs in startup, just right click the icon in the task bar (by the clock) and close it. Not sure if its just Exit etc, as I only use Teamspeak myself :)

I tried that did not work

Also WhatsApp had trouble updating
As you say you are using WhatsApp, is this on a computer or a phone? If phone, which make and model?

If its the computer, are you using the Desktop or your browser (like Chrome, Firefox etc)?

Also, which antivirus program are you running, as this may be blocking it for some reason.
I am using the desktop program. Also I reset my PC and it fixed everything. Microsoft helped me.
So its now all fixed? I was trying to see if I could find a manual update for Discord, as I used to do that for some programs in the past when they never updated, but if it was a phone (as you mentioned WhatsApp), the install may have been different.
