Hi, I brought my computer home from work after I closed my business, but now it seems that there were two profiles on it, mine and my network admin's. Because he passed away, I am in a bit of a problem. Seems my permissions are limited, which includes installing any new software, like drivers for a printer for example, or Quickbooks.
So, I looked online on how to remove his profile, but when I did so, I guess I removed mine too, because now I can't log on that computer at all.

So, I took another computer out of the closet, the one I'm on now. Same deal. Can't load new printer drivers...grrrr....can anyone help me?? thanks in advance!

I should be more clear: It seems the computer still thinks its on the network at the office. What I changed was to change the domain that I was logging on to and now it won't let me log on at all. Thanks again.

On home and small business networks, computers must be assigned to a Workgroup. You should have all the computers that you want to share with each other set to the same group.Because some Windows versions have different default workgroup names, you should decide on a particular name and verify that each computer is set to the same.
So what I did was try to disconnect from that old business network, but somehow now I can't log on at all. Can you help me figure out what to do now?
