Are you looking for a program that will capture and allow editing?
What program are you currently using and what problem are you experiencing with it that you comment it is not good?

Im using Imagemixer vs1.5 to capture. And I do want to edit it. The audio is about 2 seconds off from the original, and every 2 seconds or so, it will pause for about a second

Hi MBN
Have you ever used Studio Version 8?
I have finally worked the bugs out of it, and man were there the bugs, but the program is super. Fantastic transitions including FX, unlimited menus\chapters, background music using .SDS format and sound effects.
Pinnacle is currently having a problem on some systems with smart rendering so I would not recommend for casual user until this is fixed.

hi davey, I've only ever used Ulead; started with Video Studio, now work with Media Studio Pro....and I've been known to use M$ MovieMaker for quick and dirty video captures....

I've just bought a DVD burner, so the next thing on my list of things to do is figure out how best to create those...so far I've been using those huge DVD-Rs to back up my PC's (time to get those pesky ghost images off the D drive!).

PS: I found an add-on FX pkg called Hollywood FX, not sure what prods it works with, but has just a boatload of FX to choose from...

That is what I use for Studio 8 except I have the Hollywood FX Pro version.
Once you get to using those DVD-R for creaitng video DVDs you will have a ball! Svcd is OK but it sure is nice to have 1.5 hours of great resolution video on one disk with all the bells and whistles!

The machine sounds great! The thought of 1.5 hours of home movies may turn me prematurely gray! :D:D:D

I am one of the few, apparently, that really does do home movie editing and burning....trust me when I say that an VCD is about all I can take of family!!! He77, now I may go and return that DVD-R....

The first machine I ever edited on was a 450MHz Celeron, yup, a Celeron, with 256 RAM and a 40G HDD....I'm thrilled to death with my 1.8 GHz, 1G RAM, 140 tot hdd (2 drives).

My one big expenditure was an ATI AIW 8500DV...and these days I use it mostly for cable tv watching in my office.....

everyone have a great weekend...it's miller (or Coor light) time here in California.... :D:D:D:D
