Hi,

both the modultion schemes look same to me and both delivers 2 bits per seconds. Why do they have differenr names? Is there a dfference b/w them in some way?

Nope. 4-QAM is in fact QPSK. 2-QAM is BPSK. QPSK was just developed first.

There is a difference between OQPSK and 8-QAM. The offset of the quadrature density is higher, and gives higher bit rate.

The n-QAM nomenclature started later in life. Much like OCn.
