WIN98 is having problems starting and hangs with a notice that DFS.VSD is missing. If you press a key WIN starts but even though connected to internet via dial up you cannot find the server with IE. Any suggestions

Do you get any message's about msnp32.dll missing, after you press any key when you get the initial message?
Have you tried what is shown at the bottom of this page:
