Hiya.

I have a problem with my Disk Defragmenter. I start it up and I see on the bottom it is moving files,but once it gets to "28% Compacting",it just keeps loading my computer and not do anything. When I press STOP,it still continues loading my computer until I exit out of the screen. I use Windows XP. So I need help.

Run it in safe mode, and make sure no programs are running, including A/V, firewall, and screen savers are turned off.

I figured out nothing was wrong with it. I waited 2 hours and it was at 99%...and 10 minutes it was finished after that. Weird...comp. is going so SLOW...better write a topic about this

Disk defrag is slow if you don't do it often enough.
For some people it takes 15 hours. The next month, 8, then 3, etc.

There's an aftermarket product called Diskkeeper that is a faster defragger, it's by exeuctive software
