Debian is very nice, because they know to run a system. The way they handle modules is very... enlightened. Now, it has broken down for me. For some reason the "update-modules" script has broken, and despite mcu h head banging i cant get it to work. Almost all the documentation i can find, refers to this stupid option "force" which doesnt exist in my version of the script. Right now, i cant really afford to have anything go wrong, just incase this thing crashes. I'm looking for the debian package that actuall contains "update-modules", so that i can reinistall it

When I do apt-get -f option it seems to find what it is looking for and then I can install <packagex> is that what you mean.david
