I have a dead computer, and on this computers hard drive is some files and folders I need for work. Is there anyway i can get those files back, maybe hooking the hard drive to my laptop, if that is posible.

if the computer was working fine and all of a sudden just stopped with no warning signs, then it could possibly be your power supply thats bad. simply replace that, its a cheap fix and if that is indeed the problem, then it will save you the time to having to try and connect it to your labtop.

I take it all power connector have been checked? Power strip on? Switch (on some power supplies) to ON position? Swapped power cords? (sometimes monitor to pc cords are identical - swap those)

Keep us posted....
