 I just ran across this information in Kim Komando's newsletter today:

--> FUJITSU SIEMENS RECALLS HOT BATTERIES
Fujitsu Siemens is recalling batteries installed in its Amilo notebooks.
The batteries can overheat and possibly catch fire. Yikes!

Fujitsu Siemens recommends that the batteries be removed from the
notebooks, and that the notebooks be operated with AC power. It said it
had reports of only four incidents among the 250,000 batteries sold.

To check your battery, remove it from the notebook. Look at the label.
If it has a number ending in G1L1, it needs to be replaced.
You can get more information at:

Someone was complaining about his laptop overheating the other day -- hope he doesn't have this battery!
