2. Were you on the internet?

2.a. If you were on the internet, were you connected using AOL?

2.b. If you were on the internet, but not using AOL, which browser were you using?

2.c. If you were on the internet, but not using AOL, which web site were you viewing?

3. Is your internet connection high speed [ cable, DSL, satellite ] or dial up?

if this is the windows secruity pop-up not seeing a firewall on or virus scanner

goto control panel
secruity centre

whats listed there ????
you may simply need to tell the secruity centre that you have a virus and firewall

OR
is this wireless and you want to add a secruity code to wireless
if so you will need to connect to the router with a cable and set up a passcode under the secruity section - WPA-2 is best { according to other poster in the network forum) if you have that available

let us know what the pop up was responding to
