a friend of mine got a hand me down computer and we don't know the name of it. she has win95 on it and when trying to get connected to an ISP, that company told her that she needed a v.92 modem. will win95 support a v.92? she does not have a clue about computers. she just wants to connect to the internet. please advise...

V.92 is the protocol between the modem and the ISP, and as long as any modem is supported by Windows 95 tactually hen it should be fine.

yes, Win95 supports V92. Do you know how to install a modem? Does it have another modem already installed?
