On start-up, blue screen appears & says "cpu fan not working (blah, blah) will shut down in 15 seconds or press any key". I press "any key" and boot continues. When sign-on screen appears, you can hear a fan start. Seconds later you can't hear the fan any more but the computer works fine. Runs for hours editing pictures, music, creating, recording & editing videos - no other problems, no more messages.

After getting this message a few times, I took the PC out and removed the side panel and blew out the dust with my compressor, problem persists.

Remove the side cover. Pw ON and check if the fan is in fact not running. If so, replace the fan or just replace the complete cooler.
