when it's time to upgrade from my orig. bundled sftwr v.5.5
to nero6
is it ok to mix-&-match features between the old and new? The orig. came with dvd burner, Express supports data&audio...WinCinema supports video.
Today my new" Nero6 suite" disk arrived. It has most of the Nero6 ULTRA features and seems a worthy up-grade. Now what do you guys think??? newbie here

p.s. being moderately anal-retentive... my fear of losing is greater than the hope to gain:confused:

Not quite sure what you mean when you say the original came with dvd burner and express supoorts audio and data. Nero 6 burns dvd in the same way it burns cd's. You just pick the option to burn a dvd instead and the familiar compilation window pops up, but with a 4.7gb capacity bar at the bottom. If you use the smart start, on the dvd tab, you have a host of options as to what sort of dvd you want to make.
Nero Express in version 6 still supports audio and data. I'm not sure I've heard of wincinema in nero. Nero 6 deals with all formats of making video discs (cd and dvd).
I think once you install 6 (after getting rid of 5) you'll see that it has a lot more options than version 5, nothing has been removed, things have only been added to. You won't be disappointed.

Hi,I've been away.
Thank you for the responses. It was the software included with the new dvd.cd burner that included Inter Video,WinCinema... & Nero Express on two separate disks.
