I just changed my power supply and now I am receiving continous long beeping with a black screen.

My monitor has power as do all the fans. Everything else seems to work but the computer won't boot up and I got this long beeping going on.

Thanks for any sugesstions.

Check to see if somehow when you were in there that something came unplugged or loose. Reseat the video card also. Definitely check the memory also.

Okay so I unplugged all the cables again, and also took out the ram, soundcard, network card, CPU and then put everything back in.

The long beeps stopped and now I have no video so I will try to reseat the video card to see if it helps. If not then I will grab another video card from one of my other computers and try that to see if it works.

Thanks for your assistance.

Also check the plug on the data cable for the monitor and make sure there are no bent pins. I have seen that a few times.

Howdy NewTechGuy...

Can you post what kind of pc ( make and model number ) you have ?

The reason I ask is, that some of the name brand pc's ( like Dell, and some Compaq's ) had proprietary power supplies...
