hello

i am trying to get 2 routers to connect to each other wirelessly. I have a main router in the main computer room but i also have a computer in my bedroom. I get a signal in my room but to save me buying a wireless card or usb dongle is there a way of getting my old router to connect to my new one. I have connected the pc in my room to the router with an ethernet cable and the router is connected to the mains so it's ready to connect but does anyone know how?

You need a wireless bridging router. Have a look in the receiving router's config for such an option.
I'm sure JohnWill will pop by here and explain in more detail.

In order to connect two routers wirelessly, one must have bridge mode capability. If you're trying to do this with an older router, it's unlikely to have that capability. Buy the wireless card. :)

If the cable was an option, he wouldn't need anything else, right? :D
