Im confused. Im running Win 98se with 120GB and an Athlon Duron 1200 MHz.
Im having a chronic series of Access violations and Illegal Operations. One consistent message refers to the MSHTML.DLL module.
I using WinSafe and RegRepair on trial basis, and they have helped some, but I still have the major problem in my browser and in OE. I thought I deleted OE and IE but they are still functioning to an annoying degree. I am connected to the net, but often when I click on a link, the moment I begin to scroll I get a freeze or even a reboot.
I'm a little weary of trying to fix an "unspecified problem" according to Dr. Watson. Do I go into EXplorer and uninstall IE and OE as well as my other browsers, or do I just do a reinstall of the original back in 2002? (IE and OE are no longer on my add and remove programs--so I went ahead and reinstalled IE 5.5 sp 2--but I didn't unistall IE 6 in Explorer. I am confused, enit? Or should I reformat my C Drive after I take all my folders and put them into D--or does a reformat obliterate D and C.
