Commercial leases are always written so that expiration ends the day before the beginning of the original commencement. For example a 10 year lease would be expressed 1/1/2000-12/31/2009. I need to add 1 day to the excel formula [=DATEDIF(REF,REF,"y")]. Can anyone help?

=DATEDIF(REF,REF+1,"y")

If the REF's are the start date and end date - you might also consider leaving displated as they are in their cells and then adding a +1 right in the DATEDIF formula.

ex:

A1 - Start date
A2 - End date

=DATEDIF(A1,A2+1,"y")
