I have 98 SE installed. I downloaded IE6 SP1 to upgrade from 5.0. IE6 SP1 did not open so uninstalled IE6 SP1. Because I wasn't paying attention, I deleted shlwapi.dll and received the following error message at the user logon screen:
"C:\windows\system\shlwapi.dll, was not found."
Next screen: "Error loading Explorer.exe. Reinstall Windows."

I used a bootdisk and copy of .DLL from internet to copy to respective folder.

After restarting computer, I get the following error: "the SHELL32.DLL file is linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:SHRegGetUSValueA."

When I click on OK, the next screen: "Error loading Explorer.exe. Reinstall Windows." comes up.

I tried to reload Win 98SE using bootdisk but could not get setup.exe to work from CD. It has been very long time since I used a bootdisk so I may be missing one step.
Thanx for any assistance!
