I have Windows XP on my PC. The computer shuts off on its own after I've had it on for a while. I've tried changing the power cord and case fan as well as getting rid of potential bugs. I do not know what else to do. It sounds like an electronic problem. Can it be fixed? Please help.

Yes that sounds right.

Ok then. Buy your self a quality powersupply from the brands OCZ, Coolermaster, or Corsair. Also make sure that you get at least a 400w-500w minimum.

A decent power supply will be able to provide a good stable current over long periods of time and at high usage.

When shopping for a power supply pay close attention to the Amperage of the +12V Rails. THe higher the better providing you are looking at a quality brand. You can add Spakle, Seasonic, Thermaltake, PC Power and Cooling to the list of quality brands.
