Computer not booting after attempting to enter the bios menu

My friend was trying to update his bios on his new computer, he had the file in a usb fat32 format and spammed f2 to try and open the bios menu when it was booting but the menu didnt pop up and now it wont boot anymore? The cpu light and the vga light are both lit on the motherboard and befor he tried to open the menu the computer was working perfectly so I was wondering if anyone knows what this might be and how to fix it? His mother board is a b550m pro4 mother board by asrock

is he using the onboard video, or a dedicated one?

Can you confirm all the hardware specifications, and in detailed?
