Hi I have a problem where my microphone do

I am slowly losing hope. I am pretty sure this is a software problem but i cant seem to put my finger on what it is.

Hi Peroxide, and welcome to TSG.

Have you tested your microphone by plugging it into the microphone jack on the motherboard, sound card microphone input, and on the case microphone input?

Have you tested your microphone on another computer or other device with a known functioning microphone input?

Did you install any needed drivers for your sound card without any errors?

Does the Windows audio control panel show that the microphone is not muted or have it's volume turned down?

Does the Windows Hardware Manager show any errors or warnings for the on board sound and/or sound card?

What are the brands and model numbers of your microphone and sound card?

Yes i have tried plugging it in to the motherboard and anywhere else a microphone could go.

Yes the microphone was tested on another computer as well as i used a different microphone on the computer with the problem.

I did install the drivers needed for both the sound card and motherboard I am not sure if anything went wrong as I was doing it but I have tried to reinstall the drivers and still no luck D:

Yes Windows Audio control panel shows that it is not muted, there are multiple devices under the recording tab of audio devices I went thru all of them testing if anything would pick up the mic nothing would.

No.

I have the ASUS DGX Xonar 5.1 Headphone Amp and Pcie Sound Card
My Microphone is part of a headset, The headset is the Steel Series Siberia V3

I have tried disabling and re enabling all the devices
