Hi a friend of mine has a gateway and windows ME she installed Norton Sweeps and First Aid. She ran first aid and came up with an error on the IBM web cam. While fixing the problem she had an icon that came up and said resources are low. After that her screen went blue. It will not respond by f8 for prompting safe mode. When it was prompted the icon stated it had a after safe mode this is the errors:
STATEMGR caused an exception O3H in module USER32.DLL at
o17f:bff45d96
SCANDISKSKW caused an exception''''''''same as above
EXPLORER caused an exception""""""""""

Originally before the safe mode when you shut the computer off at the power and turned it back on it would be a blue screen and these are the exception

CMDNIST caused an exception O3H in modulleUSER32.DLL at 017f.bff45d96
MSTASK
CSINJECT
STATEMGR
RUNDLL32
SSDPSRV

If you could help by telling us how to get it back to the desktop and bury the blue screen it would be appreciated

Thank you.

It sounds as if your operating system is corrupted and your HDD needs formatted and Windows re-installed fresh.

But before you do, update and scan for virus, trojan or variant if you can. Scan on-line at http://housecall.antivirus.com.

If you finally determine a format and re-install will be necessary, and you should do this immediately - Backup all your sensitive data (Internet Explorer Favorites, Netscape Bookmarks, Outlook Express contact lists, letters, pictures, databases, spreadsheets, music, etc.) to removable media for restoring later.
