Hi have a Nikon Coolpix 775, and use xp home edition. When I plug it in it shows that it is connected but for some reason it will not transfer the files. Tried nikon website to download the software again. Nothing. Tried adding the camera through my control panel and again nothing but I must admit my camera model is not listed the list.

It was working last time I used it about 2 weeks ago!

can you transfer the files using Windows Explorer... the nikon software is not needed to do that

have you tried uninstalling the drivers and software and just pluging the camera in...I assume USB...XP should see the camera and allow you to transfer the files

Have you tried the firmware update?
As opposed to the software update.
