Computer crashes when connected to power supply

Hello, this one may be a bit lengthy so thanks in advance for stopping by to read.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz
32.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
Intel HD Graphics 630

I've been experiencing some issues since around July of this year. It happened to begin right after a quality update, but that may not have any connection to the issue at hand. The core of the problem is that the computer will randomly power down, almost always when playing games that use DirectX. The thing that has been baffling me that I just discovered recently is that if I charge my battery and then play games unplugged, I am able to consistently play games like Apex Legends or Counterstrike for hours without crashes (of course with breaks to charge in between). Then, usually within a minute of plugging in my computer, it will power down. I have just bought my third charger because it emits a small buzzing sound that occasionally crackles and I thought that might solve the issue, which it has not.

Sometimes I will get crashes randomly when using non-intensive applications, and if it happens to give a BSOD rather than immediately powering down, the message is usually MEMORY_MANAGEMENT or something related to my graphics card. Most of the time, my computer will just abruptly power down, and I swear it sounds different than the normal power off sound. It's just much more abrupt the way the fans stop spinning. Furthermore, sometimes it will try to power cycle and fail to restart, and will just get stuck in a loop of turning off and on again. The only way to fix this is by unplugging the charger in the middle (not from the port at the computer - this doesn't do anything!) and then plugging it back in after a few seconds once the reserve power in the box has dissipated. After that, you can restart it normally!

One more clue that I can think of is that sometimes when it crashes while running a 3D application, upon restarting the computer no longer detects the NVIDIA card on board and will only read the integrated Intel graphics chip. If I restart the computer when this happens, it will detect the GTX once again.

There have been two instances recently after a crash where a USB port will stop functioning. I'll have to go into the device manager and disable it and re-enable it to get it to work again.

So far to try to fix it, I have:
-Replaced the charger twice
-Fully reset my PC
-Unplugged all peripherals
-Reinstalled the original 8 GB ram stick that it came with
-Manually updated all device drivers
-Used DDU to fully uninstall my display driver and reinstalled them with the files from NVIDIA's website
-Considered updating UEFI but failed because I couldn't get it to work - think it might be worth pursuing further?

That's all I can think of for now - hopefully there are enough clues in here for somebody to be able to figure out what the heck is going on!
