Computer advice for running premiere pro

Should this set-up be enough to run premiere pro? I am having problems running the program with lagging, etc. I have followed all the advice online about settings, etc but still getting problems. Before I start removing other programs I just wanted to check if this was enough to run a program like premiere pro:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

Thanks

Info located here System requirements >

or on the side/back/bottom/top of the packaging that it came in
Is your machine a branded machine, like Dell or HP? If so what is the make/model and serial number so we can look at the specs. Also, how much free space do you have on your storage drives?

Does it only happen with Premier Pro? What version are you using?

So far, your CPU (8th Generation) and 32GB RAM meets the recommended specs for the current version.
It is an Alienware Aurora R7 - can't find serial number but has a 2tb ssd card with over 1 tb free
Ahh, for Dell/Alienware, it will be called a service tag. In the command prompt, type wmic bios get serialnumber and press enter. That will produce the serial number, providing the motherboard hasn't been replaced by a non-dell tech.
