Completely Hacked

955 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  khazars
I have been completely hacked. Backdoor trojan for sure. (my fault for being stupid)
My hacker is sending me emails from my email address..and changing my myspace .. doesn't matter if I change my password.. takes him only mins to recover it... so its pretty bad.
I am wiping the hard drive of the infected laptop right now. I have three other laptops that use the password protected wireless router in my home. Do I need to be concerned with these other machines or can I do a complete wipe and reinstall on the infected machine and call it good?
Thanks

to download HijackThis. Click scan and save a logfile, then post it here so
we can take a look at it for you. Don't click fix on anything in hijack this
as most of the files are legitimate.
I have wiped the hard drive of the infected computer.. do you want me to download hijackthis from that machine?
No, no point now, i guess you'll just install the operating system which means you'll get a nice clean computer back! ;)

if you need advice on security to prevent viruses etc then post back once you've reinstalled, make sure to install a firewall and an up to date anti virus program!
