Hello - thanks for taking the time to hopefully help me. :)

2 days ago I saw a Norton 360 message stating that it was "processing threats"...I was (ashamedly on, but not downloading anything. Then, my task manager was diabled, my desktop background was blank (greyed out), and regedit was not available. I also noticed that if I went in to change my desktop background, I didn't have the option of changing my background, or browing for one. And I was periodically getting a "windows" message (that was clearly fake) saying: "you system" is infected and to hit "ok" to download antivirus software...which of course I didn't.

When I performed a virus scan, there was no virus detected.

I then ran Ad-Aware and Spybot just in case. Ad-Aware found a few tracking cookies, and Spybot found 1 item (but for the life of me I can't remember what it was).

So, 1 day ago, I was able to reset the value in regedit to allow task manager and backgrounds...and all seemed fine.

But today, my system keeps crashing randomly and giving me the Blue Screen of Death. When I restart, I get a message saying that "The system has recovered from a serious error"

Similarly, my Outlook will freeze once opened...go through about 2 minutes of "Not Responding" and then work fine.

I keep getting a different error signature, but the files involved are the same:

I've run numerous virus scans and spyware scans (whenever the system doesn't crash while running them), and nothing is showing up. I've also tried to perform a system restore to a month ago, but every time I try to restore, windows tells me that it can't restore because nothing's been changed.

Here is my Hijack This log:

EDIT: I just ran WinDbg and got this...but I don't know what it means:

BugCheck A, {a8608ffc, ff, 0, 80545b0f}

Probably caused by : ntkrpamp.exe ( nt!SwapContext+6f )

Followup: MachineOwner

An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arg1: a8608ffc, memory referenced
Arg2: 000000ff, IRQL
Arg3: 00000000, bitfield :
bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
