You sass too much and you’ll end up like Prince and just be referred to a symbol.
Lol...do I get to choose the symbol? I choose the BOC logo...:D

Or Social D's martini skeleton. Damn near got a tat of that one.

When editing your own post, is there a way to add a quote from another post in the same thread? I couldn't find an "Insert Quotes ( )" button when editing one of my recent posts.

Now that it's mentioned, I don't see an Edit option after posting...

...so that I could delete this part of the pixmission, if desired.:)
Oh wait! Found it...just not where expected...

@vsadmin

How was a new member/spammer able to respond to a thread in the Virus & Other Malware Removal forum?????
Apparently anybody can respond to that thread without a message telling them "You don't have permission in responding here" like that in Bleeping Computer!

In the old TG forum layout, there was a tab at the bottom left of the response thread "You don't have specific privileges to reply to this thread"

Y'know. It would help if you quoted a bit of the message you are responding to. This has absolutely nothing to do with Randy's question, yet immediately follows it with no preface ...
Apologies as I meant to quote the post below to confirm what Cookiegal was referencing

I think it's just because Liz is clicking on the kebab in the wrong place, next to the first post which only controls the one post. She has to use the one that's higher up to the right of the page numbers (not by the thread title as they said) as that controls the thread.

Yep. And thats the way it was/should be. No one not designated as a virus/malware removal specialist should be allowed to post in a thread in that forum unless starting their own thread for help!

We've been through all of this with them privately and they said they simply cannot change the permissions so that only the thread starter can reply to their own thread but no one else. Moderators will have to delete unauthorized posts.

That is sad. :(

And the new owners are suppose to be experienced at running a forum ? (Their words not mine)
And here also

And whats going to happen when someone with no experience posts in someones thread that was looking for help, and that screws up the thread starters pc before the post can be removed?!!

Maybe they should have picked the brain of the former owner, someone who could figure out all this stuff by himself. Just sayin' ... ;-)

Select "Edit" from there. You will be allowed to select a "Prefix" for the thread. Oddly enough, that's where you can have "Solved" appended to the beginning of the thread title. Real easy! Who needs a big "Solved" button when you can dive deep into obscure menus to find what you need? ;-)

I just do it manually, I havent been able to successfully do it otherwise for a couple years now.

I'm not not sure that's something I'd admit in public, Tim! ;-)
