I have no idea how it happened, but every time I try to open a partition from the task bar or from My Computer, the "command prompt"opens.I have to "right click" and select open.
Very annoying, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I'm running Win XP SP2. Thanks!!

Elvandil: Thanks for your input, I haven't yet solved the problem but I will work on it when I have time!! By 'partition' I was referring to the partitions on the hard drive.

I think you'll find that it is "drives" that are opened in My Computer, which may or may not correspond to the "partitions", but it's only a semantic issue.

The vbs file above should solve the problem. Your AV may not like it, but it is safe and effective. Download and double-click.
