Hey there, apologies if this question has been posted before i quickly browsed through but didnt notice anything.

I'm having a problem with my video files, I have k-lite codec pack installed (newest version) and the media players I have tried are bsplayer media player classic media player 10 and vlc.

Whenever i try to play a video file i notice that there is a problem with the rendering in that there almost seems a white film over the screen. G-Spot tells me that the codec is playing ok and names the codec for me, but its not always the same codec some are mpeg4 some are divx4

I have tried a variety of codec packs namely nimo codec all in on klite pack klite mega pack all turn up the same errors.

Im hoping this is an easy answer and im just being a ******* but if you require any more info i will try to get it for you.

Try WMP's color controls. I don't know about WMP10 but in 9 there's a section called the 'graphical equalizer'. One of the subsections of that is Video Settings, where you can change hue, brightness, contrast, etc. I would say it's probably a brightness or contrast issue. Try raising or lowering on of them.
