Closing a PDF in Adobe causes IE to shut down with the message "Explorer has encountered a problem ----". Was suggested I uninstall Adobe and install Foxit, same thing happens. Have scanned system with CCleaner, AGV Antivirus and Xoftspy, nothing found. Also clicking on desktop shortcut icon brings up Easy Photo Print ???. Any connection?

Somewhat time consuming but it worked for me on a machine a while back. Go to Add/remove and Remove Windows Internet Explorer 7. Then Remove the version of Adobe Reader you are using and the free photo program that was installed with it. Then remove all temp files. Go to Start/Run and type %temp% and hit enter. Remove all those and then run Disk Cleanup. Then re-download IE7 and the newest version of Adobe Reader (it's now up to version 8). Make sure you remove the checks that include google or yahoo toolbar (unless you want it). That worked for me, hope it does for you..
Good luck.
