Before i formatted my computer my clock was in 24hr mode.

Now its in 12hr mode that says AM and PM quite big next to it.

When i click the clock to change the setting i dont have any option, is there any possible way i can change the clock from 12hr format to 24hr format?

You should be able to change that in the Control Panel / Regional Settings.

Seem to remember it needing to be set to:
HH:mm:ss

For what it's worth, pretty much the same thing in XP as well.
Regional Settings / Customize / Time / Time Format - H:mm:ss tt
