Chrome account wiped out using same profile

HELP! For Google Chrome, have a personal account and my work profile with different emails.
On my personal google chrome account I clicked on the work account to switch, made me sign in which it does sometimes, and then it wiped out the information that was once in my profile, and created this new account over the old with all the same information as before. Now all of my bookmarks, search history, hiver extensions, passwords, etc are gone. How can I get everything back?

I didn't delete my profile and make a new one - I simply signed in with my old credentials and it said thanks for making a new chrome account.

To confirm, you don't see any other profiles in the settings menu?

Did you click on anything that resembles Link Data?

No other profiles, just the two I have always had.

I don't recall clicking on anything that resembles Link Data.
