whenever I play a music cd. my computer freezes wht do I do?
plus I recently had to reinstall win 98 and now I do not have any colors except 2 and 16. what happened to 256,high 32 and etc...

You could simply have a lack of memory and the video card might have some conflicts.

For the video card problem, you might try installing the latest drivers from the video card manufacturer. Not sure what is causing your problem with the CD player. I had a similar problem once, and fixed it by installing updated motherboard chipset IDE drivers.
