i have an approximately 10 yo computer that has Windows FLP on it right now, it orriginally had windows 98 FE OEM, so i decided i wanted to reinstall it, so i popped in the OEM disk (this disk will only work in this pc, the OEM has created the disk that way) but i keep getting a CDR-101: not ready reading drive X (where X is the cd drive, changes from time to time) so i tried 98SE but i get the same error, the cd drive is a teac dv-w58e dvd+r cd-rw drive (upgraded after original cd drive broke) i looked on the internet and i found out it is an ide/atapi drive, so with 98 it should just show up as a regular cd drive, but i keep getting the cdr-101, so i don't know what to do, i even tried the cd in a virtual machine, and i still get the cdr-101. so what i am asking is, what should i do?
